Holiday Window Projection Setup Guide

Must-Have Supplies

Projector Equipment

  • Computer (required for downloading and transferring videos to USB – phones will not work)
  • Projector (3,000-3,600+ lumens, native 1080p preferred, USB playback capability, video looping, keystone correction)
  • USB 3.0 Drive (64GB, trusted brands preferred)
  • Projector Stand/Table (stable surface 6-10 feet from window)

Screen Materials

  • White Sheer Curtains (translucent, wrinkle-resistant, polyester preferred)
  • Removable Painter’s Tape, or Large Clips (for securing curtains)

Nice-to-Have Supplies

Music Enhancements

  • External Weather-Resistant Speakers (for synchronized sound – music must be played separately than projections, because the projections play on a very short loop)

Other Useful Supplies

Power and Safety

  • Surge Protectors (better protection than basic extension cords)
  • Extension Cords (if needed for outlet access)
  • Velcro Zip Ties (for cord management)

Mounting and Installation Supplies

  • Removable adhesive strips
  • Tension rods (Provides additional curtain support for very wide windows)

Light Blocking Materials

  • Cardboard or Poster Board (for bay windows or blocking unwanted light gaps)
  • Dark-colored Sheet (temporary doorway blocking if door doesn’t close)
